YOU

Client or Parent of Client

At Vancouver Speech Therapy we highly value collaboration! Whether you are the client or the parent of the client, your input is necessary for progress. As the parent, you have valuable knowledge of your child’s needs, strengths, and experiencesso your goals are our priorities. Your input is valuable. At the end of every session whether it’s in home or online we take about 5 minutes to debrief you, the parent on what was done, progress and ideas for next session. It is important for us at Vancouver Speech Therapy to ensure you are informed about your child’s progress regularly and feel like you are apart of the therapeutic process.

Taylor Schweighardt

Behaviour Assistant

Hi! My name is Taylor Schweighardt, and I’m a Behaviour Assistant at Meadow Minds. I completed my education as an Educational Assistant and worked in the school district for two years as a Level 3 EA before deciding to explore a new setting where I could continue supporting children in a different way — something I’ve always been passionate about!

I’ve always had a strong passion for working with children who require extra support. Over the years, I’ve gained experience as a Behaviour Interventionist and as a nanny for a family with two children on the autism spectrum, who taught me so much. I’ve specialized my studies in Autism and completed several additional courses to ensure I can support your kiddos to the best of my ability. I take great pride in forming genuine connections with the children I work with and celebrating every milestone as if it were my own.

In my free time, I love spending time with my niece, playing with my dog, Malcolm, and fitting in time to move my body at the gym!
