YOU
Client or Parent of Client
At Meadow Minds, we highly value collaboration! Whether you are the client or the parent of the client, your input is necessary for progress. As the parent, you know your child best, so your goals are our priorities. Your input is valuable. At the end of every session, whether it’s in-home or online, we take about 5 minutes to debrief you on what was done, progress made, and ideas for the next session. It is important for us at Meadow Minds to ensure you are informed about your child’s progress regularly and feel like you are a part of the therapeutic process.
Aman Sahnan
Registered Speech and Language Pathologist/ Clinical Director
About me
Hi, my name is Aman Sahnan! I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology in 2018. I have experience working in both public and private settings. I began my career with the Edmonton Catholic School District, where I worked with preschool and kindergarten-aged children with various speech, language, and developmental disorders. Later, I joined a private agency in Burnaby, expanding my work to include children from preschool to school age. I am particularly passionate about helping non-verbal children find alternative ways to communicate.
I also enjoy working with adults, particularly in accent reduction. Having grown up with a mother who had an accent, I understand the challenges faced when adjusting to a new country and learning a new language.
Certifications:
- Hanen: Learning Language and Loving It
- Accent Reduction Teacher Training through Speech and Voice Global Enterprises
- Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)
